Blogroll on Ergonomics and Human Factors

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 11:46

Since I’m only updating a couple times a week, I thought I’d point you all to some other great blogs and resources on the Web. These are the ergonomics-related RSS feeds I keep in my Google Reader.  Whatever your specific interest is, there’s probably a blog out there focusing in that topic. So, check ‘em out!

  • Computer  Ergonomics: Work Pain Free — A blog focusing in computer workstation set-up and especially shoulder/neck pain
  • Ergoblog — Personal blog focusing on office ergonomics and dealing with RSI issues
  • Usernomics — News and reviews about office and workplace ergo
  • Ergonomics Made Easy– Hasn’t updated in a while but worth it to check out
  • RSI Relief Blog — Good site with lots of info, lots of links to news/blogs on the web
  • Safe computing tips - Discusses new products for office ergo
  • Ergonomenon — Aside from a great catchy title, this blog also does a lot of commentary on ergonomics developments on products outside the office
  • Posture Blog — Focused on issues about your posture and how to improve it
  • Product Usability — Blog on product design for usability, not just for computer related products
  • History of the Button — Focusing on buttons in user interface design

Full disclosure: I’m not associated with any of the sites or bloggers above, just an occasional reader. (Maybe one of these days I’ll even catch up on reading all the posts!) If you’re one of the bloggers listed above, please feel free to give me a link from your site, if you think your readers would benefit from the info here. And, if you know some other good blogs I haven’t listed, post the link in my comments. I’ll check them out, too.

Happy reading!

Usernomics highlighted recently, but it your readers missed it, Ergotron has just published a white paper: Comfortable Portable Computing: The Ergonomic Equation: http://www.ergotron.com/tabid/201/language/en-US/default.aspx

I was surprised to see how many associative health issues there were involved in poor computing habits.
